Just near the banks of the Forth over the Kincardine Bridge
tucked away on Inch Farm is home to The Scottish Pedigree
WRC founded in 1999. The roots of the club is an
amalgamation of two clubs; The Scottish WRC who joined
with the Caledonian Thistle WRC at Inch Farm, forming the
Scottish Thistle Pedigree Whippet Racing Club.

Today’s Club has over fifty members with about fifty seven
racing dogs. During the season which starts around the end
of March or beginning of April each year. The Club is run by a very hard working
dedicated committee ambitious for high standards in dog safety and welfare as
well as the constant up grading of the club facilities and equipment. The Thistle
are very lucky to have their home at Inch Farm with a very supportive private
landowner. The most prized asset is the dedicated racing track; no end of
attention is lavished on the running surface, watered, rolled & cut. This massive
effort produces a safe, slightly up hill track with race distances of 150, 160 & 170
yards. There are lots of dogs in the Thistle light middle heavy and over weight
and over size groups. They run for lots of prizes though the season these
                                      including points championships both
handicapped and all scratch pup derby novice
trophy competitions based on their colours:
The Blue Derby, The Black Magic Cup. The All
Colour Trophy and lots of fun racing like The
Two Teams day. There are lots of racing
                                      champions and national graduates gracing
the club on a regular basis.

A band of Thistle owners and their elite dogs travel Britain each year competing
with the very best pedigree racing whippets. Once a year the Thistle hosts The
British Championships. Last years event the was a massive success not only
because of numbers and standard of entry but the brilliant hospitality with the
after event party. The prizes were spectacular including an original oil painting of
the winners of the two divisions of the Supreme. The clubs facilities include a
large on sight car park, low cost high quality café, toilet block,
                     showers & dog washing area.

It’s rumoured that the future includes the installation of a
camera system to give coverage of live racing and the ability to
record the action. The Thistle is a forward looking club without
forgetting their past. A charity meet will be held later in the year celebrating 20
years and paying due respect to those who made the club of today possible.
